WHY I CHOSE THIS PACK

THE DETAILS MATTER.

I’m Waco, a Marine Corps veteran. I spent 8 years carrying gear in conditions where failure wasn’t an option. Today I’m a volunteer firefighter and work wildland fires in the summers. I’ve worn and tested just about every chest pack and carrier out there.
Hydration packs give you one thing: water. The chest rigs I used held a radio, a pen, and a pocket for a spare battery, with minimal room for a small notepad. I kept bundling uncomfortable gear together just to carry what I needed, and most of it was inconvenient when it counted.
